Episode 21: Randi Lawson

Randi Lawson is an extremely funny and sharp stand-up comic, and she was a pleasure to sit and talk with. Stand-up comedy is such an in-the-moment kind of performance, where you can know immediately if it’s working or not. It takes a certain kind of mind to be able to work with that, and a certain kind of disposition to want to do it in the first place. Randi is quiet and collected in person, but when she gets onstage, she’s an entertainer, plain and simple. She has a very popular Twitter that you should all be following. She’s been name checked by everyone from the Huffington Post to Playboy Magazine to Doug Benson as a talent to keep an eye out for. You can be cool and get on the Randi Lawson train here first.

A bit of housekeeping: I’m doing two live podcasts next month here in Philadelphia. They’re on Saturday, 8/29 and Saturday, 9/5, all part of the Philadelphia Podcast Festival. They’re at 9pm at Bridgeset Sound at 710 South Street. It’ll be a panel show with multiple guests, and each show will be different. It’s free, there’ll be free refreshments, and it’s going to be a blast. Hope to see you there if you can make it.

I’m beat. Have a great couple of weeks and I’ll catch up with you all real soon. Cheers,

DD
